Islamic Month Dhu al-Hijjah 2024

Dhu al-Hijjah is the twelfth and final month in the Islamic lunar calendar. It is a very important month for Muslims because it is when they go on the Hajj pilgrimage and celebrate Eid al-Adha. This month is marked by deep religious reverence and a series of rituals that show how Muslims should live their lives.

Kalma tayyaba, Namaz, zakat, Roza and Five Pillars of Islam is the Hajj, which is done during the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah. Every adult Muslim who can do it must do the Hajj at least once in their lifetime. The Hajj is a show of Muslim unity, as it brings together followers from different backgrounds to do rituals that go back to the prophets Ibrahim (Abraham) and Ismail (Ishmael).

• 5.Tawaf e wida karna.

First 10 days

The first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah are the holiest days of the year in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad said that these days are the most beloved to Allah. Muslims should pray, fast, and give more during this period. The ninth day of Dhu al-Hijjah is the Day of Arafah. Pilgrims stand in prayer on Mount Arafat near Mecca. Those not on the pilgrimage should fast on this day to atone for sins in the past and future.

Eid al-Adha

The Hajj ends with Eid al-Adha, which is on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah. The Festival of Sacrifice celebrates Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail as an act of obedience to Allah. But Islamic tradition says God sent a ram to be sacrificed in Ismail’s place. Muslims around the world perform Qurbani, the ritual slaughter of livestock, to commemorate this event. The meat is shared with family, friends, and the needy.
